The Crusader Bible of Louis IX or Maciejowski Bible or The Bible of Shah Abbas
Folio NAL 2294 2 recto
At the advice of Joab, a local wise woman pleads with David to spare Absalom's life.
Absalom returns from exile and goes to Jerusalem.
David and Absalom finally reconcile with each other.
Absalom then spends two years in Jerusalem without ever seeing David.
In the two years, he also has attempted, in vain, to garner Joab's help.
In retribution against Joab, Absalom sets fire to Joab's barley fields.
(2 Samuel 14 1-30)
